Questions about ordering online, shipping, in-store pickup, and damaged/wrong orders.
Do you offer in-store pickup?
Yes! You may order online for in-store pickup at any of our retail locations. When you get to the shipping options in checkout you'll see options for in-store pickup.
Please note: your order must be picked up within 1 month of the order date. If items ordered are not picked up in 1 month, you will be charged a 25% re-stocking fee and the remainder of the order amount will be refunded to the card used.
Can I send my order as a gift?
Absolutely! Any of our candles make a fantastic gift on their own, but we do not currently include gift notes in orders. Please note: all shipments include Kalamazoo Candle Company’s return address & branding on the exterior shipping package.
How do I track my order?
Once your order is shipped you'll receive an email or text with tracking information. If for some reason you do not get that message you can also find this information on your customer account page.
How long will my order take to arrive?
All orders are shipped within 3 days. We usually get them out within 1 business day but sometimes it takes an extra day or two when we run sales or around holidays.
Once your order ships it will take 1-3 days to arrive to you depending on how far from Kalamazoo, MI you are.
Which carrier does Kalamazoo Candle use?
We use UPS for all orders. By using UPS rather than USPS or FedEx orders generally arrive 1-2 days faster and less damage.
What do I do if I receive the wrong or broken candle?
Contact Customer Service in the above form. Include your name and order number, as well as a description of the damage. If you could include a photo of the broken candle, that would be great! If you have received an incorrect item, please note what item is missing from your order.

Where can I buy your products?
You can visit one of our four retail store locations or visit one of our amazing retail partners across the country. Our candles are also sold at Fresh Thyme Markets nationwide and Whole Foods Market Midwest. Do you offer custom label candles?
Yes! We generally require up to 3 weeks lead time for custom label orders. For more information, visit our Custom Labels page.
Do you offer discounts if I order a lot of candles at once?
Yes, if you plan to order 50 or more of the same product contact us for bulk pricing.
Do you donate products?
We will occasionally donate gift sets, single candles, or candle making experiences to non-profit organizations for silent auctions. Contact us to inquire. We make decisions on donations and sponsorships on a quarterly basis so it is best to ask early!
Can I buy directly from the Kalamazoo Candle warehouse?
We do not offer retail sales at our production facility. Please visit one of our retail stores or any of our retail partners to purchase our candles in person.
I'm trying to find one of your fragrances but can't find it.
Some of our fragrances are seasonal, meaning they are only available during certain times of the year. Some of our fragrances have retired, meaning they are no longer currently offered. If you are looking for a specific scent that you do not see, please let us know by contacting us, and we’ll let you know if/when it will be available.

Are your candles super fragrant?
We strive to craft a candle that produces a scent that compliments a room rather than overpowers it. The size of the room you are burning it in will also be a factor; however, we design our fragrance to fill an average size room.
Are your candles vegan?
While we do not use anything derived from animals in any way shape or form, our products have not been officially certified as vegan.
Where are your candles made?
Every Kalamazoo Candle is crafted by hand in Kalamazoo, MI USA by our amazingly dedicated team of candle makers.
Do you use essential oils?
While our fragrances include essential oils, our fragrances are created using a blend of fragrance oils and essential oils. The use of fragrance oils tremendously increases the number of raw materials to which we have access, allowing consistency in product quality, as well as increased shelf life. The fragrance oils we use are phthalate-free and free from any ingredient listed inCalifornia's Prop 65. No bad stuff!
Did you know: If we used 100% essential oil it would take over 10,000lbs of roses to create enough Essential Oil for 20 candles!
Will your candles produce soot or smoke?
Are soy candles safe for people with soy allergies?
Yes! Soy wax is very non-reactive and even though someone may be allergic to soy in foods, in order for the allergy to take place, the soy must be digested to enter the bloodstream. If it's burned, the protein chains are broken up and are no longer the same molecules that could cause the allergy.
Do your wicks contain lead or zinc?
No, all of our wicks are metal-free! We use paper-core and 100% cotton wicks.
Is there a "right" way to burn a candle?

Do you offer private label?
