ORDERS & Shipping

Which carrier does Kalamazoo Candle use?
We generally ship via UPS or USPS. 


How long will it take to receive my order?

Orders generally take 1-3 business days to be processed & shipped. Please note that shipping carriers may still be experiencing COVID-related delays. 


Do you offer expedited shipping?

We offer optional USPS Prioriy Mail Express shipping for time-sensitive deliveries but please note that we do not offer expedited production and processing of the candle itself. All candles are hand poured in the order in which it is received by our production team. Candles are generally ready to ship within 3 days with some exceptions.  


Do you offer in-store pickup?

We offer optional in-store pickup at our Marketplace location. Please note: your order must be picked up within 1 month of the order date. If items ordered are not picked up within that timeframe, you will be charged a 25% re-stocking fee and the remainder of the order amount will be refunded to the card used.


What do I do if I receive a wrong or broken candle?

Contact Customer Service at candle@kalamazoocandle.com. Include your name and order number, as well as a description of the damage. If you could include a photo of the broken candle, that would be great! If you have received an incorrect item, please note what item is missing from your order. 


How do I check the status/shipping information of my order?

If you have an account, you can login and view your order from there. If not, click on VIEW YOUR ORDER in the confirmation email you received after placing your order. You will receive tracking information via email once your order has left our Factory. Please allow 24 hours for the tracking information to update. 


What do I do if I need to make a change to my order?

Please email candle@kalamazoocandle.com with your change request as soon as possible. We are happy to make adjustments to your order before it has shipped. Please note: our Factory is closed Saturday and Sunday, but we’ll do our best to respond ASAP.    


Can I send my order as a gift?

Absolutely! Any of our candles make a fantastic gift on their own, but add in a gift bag and you have the perfect present! We do not include receipts in any order so your recipient will never know how much you spent. Please note: all shipments include Kalamazoo Candle Company’s return address & branding on the exterior shipping package.

Do you offer custom label candles?

Yes! We generally require up to 3 weeks lead time for custom label orders. For more information, visit our Custom Labels page.


Do you offer discounts if I order in bulk?

Yes, for more information on bulk orders, click here. Please contact us for information on bulk orders and to get the bulk discount applied to your order. If you're ordering in bulk, be sure to check out our Custom Label candles!


Do you offer donations for my event or charity?

We care about the community we call home, and we care about your community as well. We will occasionally donate gift sets, single candles, or candle making experience for silent auctions/fundraisers. Pleasecontact uswith your request.   


Where can I buy your products/smell your fragrances in person?

Visit one of our three retail stores, or use our Store Locator for a list of stores near you that carry Kalamazoo Candle Company products.


Can I buy directly from Kalamazoo Candle Company Factory?

We do not offer retail sales at our production facility. Please visit one of our retail stores or any of our retail partners to purchase our candles in person.


The Kalamazoo Candle fragrance I’m looking for isn’t showing online. Is it discontinued?

Some of our fragrances are seasonal, meaning they are only available during certain times of the year, and some of our fragrances have retired meaning they are no longer currently offered.If you are looking for a specific scent that you do not see, please let us know by emailing candle@kalamazoocandle.com, and we’ll let you know if/when it will be available.  

Our Candles

What ingredients are used in your candles?

Our candles are made with 100% natural soy wax, a blend of phthalate-free fragrance oils, zero added dyes or toxins, and a paper-core cotton wick. They are free from any ingredient listed in California's Prop 65 or European Union's REACH.  


Are your candles vegan?

While we don’t add any animal-derived ingredients to our products, our products have not been certified as vegan. 


Are your candles manufactured in the USA?

Every Kalamazoo Candle is made at our Factorylocated in Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA. Even our raw materials are all made in the United States.


Do you use essential oils?

While some of our fragrances include essential oils, most of our fragrances are created using a blend of fragrance oils. The use of fragrance oils tremendously increases the number of raw materials to which we have access, allowing consistency in product quality, as well as increased shelf life. The fragrance oils we use are phthalate-free and free from any ingredient listed in California's Prop 65 or European Union's REACH.


Will your candle produce soot or smoke?

If you follow our Candle Burning Tips, then soot & smoke should be minimal. Remember to trim the wick to 1/4” prior to lighting, and keep the candle away from windy areas and items that may catch fire. 


Are soy candles safe for people with soy allergies?

Yes! Soy wax is very non-reactive and even though someone may be allergic to soy in foods, in order for the allergy to take place, the soy must be digested to enter the bloodstream. If it's burned, the protein chains are broken up and are no longer the same molecules that could cause the allergy. 


How long will my candle last?

If you follow our Candle Burning Tips, you’ll get the longest possible burn. Our Classic Candle Tins will burn for 30-40 hours, and our Classic Candle Jars will burn for 60-80 hours.


Do your wicks contain lead or zinc?

No, all of our wicks are metal-free! We use paper-core cotton wicks.


Is there a “right” way to burn my candle?
Yes! Follow the Candle Burning Tips to get the best burn experience from your candle.


Are your candles super fragrant?

We strive to craft a candle that produces a scent that compliments a room rather than overpower it. The size of the room you are burning it in will also be a factor.

How can I become a wholesale partner?

How do I receive information on pricing?

If you are currently a wholesale partner with us, contact your local sales representative for more information on pricing. If you are not a wholesale partner yet and want pricing information, please fill out the form at the bottom of the Wholesale page.


How long will it take to ship my order?

We ship all orders within 13 business days, no matter the time of year, so you always have your customers' favorites in stock.


Do you have anything besides your Classic Candle Jars and Classic Candle Tins to sell?

Yes! Have you explored our sleek and modern Black Label Collection? You can also sell any of our wick trimmers,wick dippers, electric lighters and accessory trays!


How do I know which candles to choose to sell?

We can provide you with a list of our top selling fragrances and recommendations!


Do you offer private labels?

Yes! We offer custom private labels for any brands or stores. You can customize both our Classic Candle Tins and our Classic Candle Jars. There is an order minimum of 100 candles per fragrance.
